Natural or Homeopathic remedies?

In this article, we will discuss the difference between natural and homeopathic remedies. If this is something you are interested in, read on.

What is the difference between natural or homeopathic remedies?

Baltic Amber – natural teething pain remedy:

Baltic Amber is a NATURAL teething pain remedy.

What is Baltic Amber?

Baltic Amber is a fossilized tree resin and comes in a variety of shapes and colours. Baltic Amber IS for wearing,  NOT for chewing or ingestion. Amber contains succinic acid, a natural analgesic and healing agent.

How does it work?

Amber warms against the body and the succinic acid is absorbed through the skin helping with pain relief.

Used for centuries, Baltic amber relieves a variety of ailments from teething pain to arthritis. Succinic acid has a very positive influence on the body. It improves immunity and can help balance acid when absorbed into the bloodstream. Amber has anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties and is a natural analgesic (pain reliever).

We at Poppet Patch believe in the balance of natural remedies and Western Medicine. We do not believe in Homeopathy.

We spoke to a number of our doctors to find out what they think of Amber and its medicinal properties:

“There is no medical proof that these products work but they are also not doing any harm. I’m not a huge fan of homeopathic remedies, but I’m a fan of the natural remedies. Unfortunately, I think that a lot of moms out there don’t know the difference. When you buy something with a label that says Organic, it still does not mean that there is nothing foreign in it. The kids today are exposed to a lot more radiation and chemicals, poor food quality, than we were as kids with today’s mobile phones, laptops and devices and I think they need all the natural help they can get.”

“All our moms rave about the amber beads. Whether they really work we will never know. It’s not something that I tell moms that they absolutely have to have but most of our moms just rave about these beads.”

  • Paediatric Sister, Grassroots Clinic, Sandton Medi-Clinic

Our Paediatrician declined commenting on the topic of Baltic Amber as she preferred discussing herd immunity in light of the recent outbreak of measles in Gauteng.

We will not be dedicating a Blog Post to vaccinations as we believe that the controversial subject of Pro-vax and Anti-vax is old news. Instead, we include a recent article on this subject at the end of this post.

One can find a negative review about any and every baby product online. When I was pregnant I was knitting a scarf for the Poppet. I consulted google to find the length for a baby scarf. Boy, did I regret searching ‘baby scarf’. I was immediately guilty of chocking my child. In my opinion, it goes without saying that you do not leave a baby unattended with a scarf around its neck, let alone leave them to sleep in a cot while wearing it.

Needless to say, my baby has a collection of scarves and we love them.

Also, needless to say, you can search ‘teething necklace’ online and find a hundred thousand things about how your child is going to choke to death.

natural and homeopathic remedies. None of the medical professionals that we spoke to about teething necklaces mentioned a choking hazard on this topic during our interviews.

That said, what I like most about the teething necklaces from Ambre is that they do not attach with a screw joint. Instead, they have an insert joint which detaches immediately when the child pulls or jerks it.

How often do I need to replace my baby’s teething necklace?

Amber is millions of years old so it should not need to be replaced as long as you care for it properly. If you feel it isn’t as effective as it used to be, try rinsing it in lukewarm water and rubbing it with a soft cloth and a bit of olive oil to restore it and give it a new shine.

If you feel that the string has become worn from the baby pulling on it then Ambre can rethread the beads for you.

You can purchase your beads at a 15% discount with the discount code “poppetpatch” from www.officialambre.com

*This is not a sponsored blog post but Poppet received 4 necklaces and 2 bracelets from Ambre. We kept one necklace and donated the rest/and/or used the products in other promotional activity such as competitions.

I do not realise how did people come to those conclusions however
I see exactly how and also the reason why it’s may work. What you stated in the post truly made me think and
also adjust some of my routines.

I am unsure if you have gone through a post from Washington Post regarding to this, but I believe that they stuck in the old mentality with the almost completely opposite approach.
I say times chances and people can too.

reason. Thanks you for doing this stuff.

Thanks for publishing this. As an individual who has experienced lower back pain from
a car accident I do a lot of research on blog posts
like one but I have actually never been compelled to leave a comment.

I have actually bookmarked your site and posted
a link to your article on my Facebook.

Thanks again for a great post!

I am not exactly sure if you have checked out a blog post from
Huffington Post about this, but I think that
they stuck in the older mentality with the almost completely different
treatment. I say times have changed and we can too.
